Shelby + Alec | Wedding | Hayloft In the Grove |East Aurora, NY

There is something about this wedding, something truly unique and magical, that even looking back at it a few months later, my eyes are welling with tears. Let me assure you, I am a complete sap and I nearly cry at some point during every wedding I shoot. Typically though, by the time I get to blogging I have seen the wedding for so long while editing, all my tears have been cried out and its a bit of a drought up in here. HA!

Shelby and Alec’s big day was just something out of a fairy tale. Cliché sounding, I totally know.. But its the truth and their is no better way to describe it. It was a sunny fall day, light flooded into the cottage at Hayloft in the grove as all the girls gathered for morning preparations. Music played, everyone was laughing, drinking champagne and having a calm start to what would be a day to not be forgotten. Their was so much pure love and emotion surrounding the final moments prior to the walk down the aisle. Shelbys Mom buttoning her into her dress, and don’t even get me started on her first look with her Dad, you will more than likely be sobbing with me when you get to that portion of the blog. Shelby and Alec married outdoors, with autumn corn stalks in the nearby background, surrounded by all their nearest and dearest friends and family.

The reception, was one big party. The Hayloft floor was literally.. and I mean literally bouncing and shaking with how many people filled the dance floor and their nephew breaking it down on the DJ’s mic to Lizzo ‘Truth Hurts’! If they weren’t already, The entire crowd was amped up and ready to go after that! Alec and Shelby opted to sneak away for a quick ten mins as the sun went down to have a quiet moment and take some final sunset photos. The moon was out & showing off and it was the perfect way to tie up their perfect, magical day.

Oh… did I mention they had goats?! Ya… I will just leave that right there.
