Their shoot inspiration was summer picnic! Taking a summer picnic and evolving it into a modern, sweet, simple elopement. Everyone thinks when you’re getting married you have to conform to whats trending on pinterest for ‘summer weddings’ but its YOUR day… why not do you? Want to get a little funky and wear a checkered romper? DO IT! Everyone also tends to think when you pick a theme for your wedding such as picnic, that you have to have a straight up ton of picnic baskets, ladybugs, blankets etc.. thats not the case at all, you can easily take bits and pieces from a theme and transform them into elements that aren’t overpowering your day but still speak to the theme you are conveying. Colors, Textures, patterns. In this case her romper and mixmatched wildflowers that while beatifully layered together by our florist Marigold & Vase, also look as though they were hand collected from the outdoors by the bride herself.

Ugh I love everything natural and simple about this shoot. Letting their carefree and effortless nature shine through in every image. Thats what its about my friends!
